Who we are
In 1981, nonno Ivano began to work as driver for the municipality of Lucca, Tuscany. That’s when the story begins.
Autoservizi Della Bidia is a company specialized in private tours and transportation to/from a hotel or a venue.
We also provide wine tasting events, airport drop off/pick up etc.
We carry a wide range of fleet from mid size sedans, minivans and buses catering to all your needs and requirements. Our drivers are very friendly, courteous, and professional: they are tour leaders, happy to answer your questions and show you our enchanting land. They are also very knowledgeable with the routes and, be sure, they will take the shortest time to reach a destination even in bad traffic.
Today our team is made up of more than ten drivers, coordinated by Daniele, his son Tommaso and all the family.

We were 16 adults traveling through Tuscany. We were picked up at our villa and spent 6 hours touring 2 local vineyards. Included tastings (7 in total) and lunch. On time, friendly, very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English. We totally enjoyed the ride to Carrara Quarry. We stopped for a snack of Lardo in Colonatta that was really fun and interesting.Verificata A wonderful day trip from the port (6-ish hours) My wife and I booked a tour from the La Spezia port (cruise ship) to two beautiful cities. First we went to Porto Venere. It was a beautiful little town with a very nice lookout from a church. But even better was the local street of shops. The shops were very low key and authentic. Then we had a fantastic lunch at Miramare. While there we had a local specialty - Stuffed muscles. The second town was called Lerici. It was another very authentic town. This town had more of a local town feel. We walked around the fish market and walked up to an old port castle. Our guide Raffaelle was wonderful and was very knowledgeable about the local history. We made a new friend and intend to come back to Italy in the future and use him as a local guide.Verificata Carrera Marble trip Fantastic trip and most enjoyable! The guide was very curteous and well informed and had great ideas on engaging us with the other tour members . It was a small party and the executive transporter certainly not a van as described!. The internal trip in the Carrara mine was part of a larger tour, but that all went seamlessly and was very informative - Overall a great experience and I would not hesitate to recommend this guideVerificata A wonderful day in Lucca, wine tasting and Pisa Raffaele was our guide and driver. He met us right at the port so no need to take a shuttle or taxi to go to a meeting place. The Mercedes van was very comfortable for 6 adults. We had an excellent day touring Lucca, enjoying our wine tasting and lunch at a family vineyard and then stopping in Pisa. Raffaele provided us with so much information. We had time to visit and shop on our own in Lucca as well as enjoy the vineyard.Verificata A very special wine tour We’ve been on a number of wine tours over the years, both in the UK and Europe, but I would put this at the top. This is in no small measure due to our host for the day - Tomasso. His English was excellent, his knowledge extensive and he was quite lovely and charming. He took time to find out about the 6 of us in our group, he was personable and unhurried at all times. When he found out one of us had a birthday that day he discreetly phoned ahead to Tanuta Mareli where at the end of our tour Francesca amazingly produced a lovely surprise cake and candle made by her daughter.We visited two wineries and experienced 5 different wines at each, gradually transitioning through white/rosé to light reds to medium/heavy reds. All were organically produced. We were treated to the most beautiful food for our lunch at the Tenuta Mareli winery all sourced and produced by Francesca. He lives in Lucca and his knowledge of his city was absolutely wonderful. We had been to Lucca 7 years ago and being with Raffaele only enhanced our memories! Then off to Tenuta Adamo for wine tasting with Julia. Superb! We finished up at Pisa. Which was the topping of the cake! This is a fantastic tour in a beautiful part of Tuscany. The whole experience felt relaxed and homely, like spending a day with a group of friends. There was no rush at all; we could take our time and truly enjoy the wine and our surroundings. We visited two local vineyards, and it was nothing like the big, industrial wine tastings that are often found on larger tours – this felt personal, authentic, and special. The wines were excellent, with generous and varied tastings, and the food pairings were more than just snacks – truly delicious and abundant. Our guide, Tomasso, was exceptional. Down to earth, knowledgeable, and passionate. He gave a great summary of the region’s history and made the whole day feel warm and welcoming. All in all, a memorable and genuine Tuscan experience.
